NSW Significant Investor Visa changes

The NSW Government has announced, in Australia today, changes to streamline the Significant Investor Visa (SIV) requirements.

From 1 September 2014 visa holders are no longer required to hold $1.5 million of their $5 million investment in NSW Waratah Bonds. Applicants will still be required to invest the full $5 million in approved complying investments.

Those applicants who have been nominated by the NSW State Government prior to 1 September, will still need to meet the conditions of their approved nomination and will be required to continue to invest $1.5 million in NSW Waratah Bonds for the term of the associated SIV.
